Ahhhh:)

I don't know if you all have enjoyed this lovely weather as much as we have in Preschool this week, but hasn't it been fabulous?! We have tried to work in a little extra recess among all our fun fall activities because only the Good Lord knows how long it'll last. I have so enjoyed our fall week, I am a little sad it is getting cut short with our Friday off but I am going to try to work some more fall stuff in during Fire Safety Week;) Next week we are going to cover something I think they are very excited for Gg for....GHOST! It should be fun and we will begin decorating our classroom for Halloween. Heads up that Pumpkin Patch Fieldtrip forms will go home next Monday so be on the look-out:) Have such a wonderful weekend with your kiddo, can't wait to see everyone on Monday!

My little bakers

In honor of letter Aa we baked some Apple Pies today, they were such wonderful helpers! Our pies are baking right now, I will try to post some pics this afternoon when they are done:) Have a wonderful weekend, see you for our Finally Fall letter Ff week next week!

Big Buddy Day!

 
 
They had so much fun meeting their big buddies!! Such a great group of kids-they were so attentive and helpful to my kiddos, I so appreciate it! Can't wait for all the fun activities to come (especially at Halloween:)

Talking Religion

Today we read about Adam and Eve in our Bible. We talked about how they made a bad choice in not listening and that that made God very sad:( But God forgave them when they made a bad choice, just like it makes mommies, daddies, and Miss Brittney sad when we make bad choices but we still love them and forgive them. I love getting to talk to them about religion, it helps me look at it in such a simple way that totally makes sense. Here is to more fabulous discussions! Have a great afternoon.

Friday Time

Good Afternoon! We've had a pretty fun week in Preschool learning all about letter Nn. We worked on our names a lot this week and it is so fun watching them find their name tags and being able to pick out their work-I love seeing how excited they get about being able to read:) Next week we were going to do Ff for fall but it is going to be so warm and not at all fall like so we are going to do Aa for apples! Which is one of my favorite weeks because we do an apple tasting experiment, have my all time favorite snack, caramel apples, and I have them try the best drink ever-Apple Cider!! Hopefully all of this fall spirit will make the weather cooperate so we can do fall next week!! Have a great weekend, enjoy your little ones smiles and I will see you on Monday!

Good Afternoon! So...umm....it is Tuesday and we did a messy acticity this morning and we had a messy lunch so...yeah sorry their clothes might be a bit of a disaster today, sorry! But we did have a lot of fun using glitter and the walking tacos were a big hit at lunch:) I feel like I need a disclaimer for my classroom, sorry about the mess we are learning here:) Have a great day, see you after school.

What is my name?!

Good Afternoon! We started off name week with some very cute caterpillars! And in celebration of learning about letter Nn this week there are noodles in the sensory table-Yay! Tomorrow is a 1:30 Dismissal day for the big school-Preschool will be in session until 3:25 and then after care will start so you may pick up your child at 1:30 or keep them at school as usual. I will be in meetings starting at 1:30 so there will be a sub in our classroom for the rest of the day. It will either be Michelle Keller or Mercedes Howser, both of whom are former St.Peter's Preschool Staff. I will talk to the kids about it this afternoon and tomorrow morning so they can be prepared. Reminders Revised

Just a reminder that Family Fun Night for tonight is cancelled due to weather. We will have a wonderful Thanksgiving Fun Night were you will have a chance to meet all the teachers and families. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Also wanted to throw out the date of our Pumpkin Patch Field Trip if you were wanting to attend and need to put in to take off work. We will be doing a whole Preschool Trip to Fisher Farms October 17th. It is a Wednesday and will happen sometime in the morning. I will have more details as they become available but just wanted to get it out there. Have a great weekend with your little one, can't wait to see you all on Monday morning after a wonderful Sunday of the Chiefs beating the Chargers (I hope!).

Tomorrow night (as long as the weather cooperates) Family Fun Night on the Preschool Playground from 6:30-7:30
Tuesday, September 11th: 1:30 Dismissal at Big School. You may pick up your child at that time, but Preschool does stay in session for the entire day.
Wednesday, September 12th: No After School Care

Skittle Science!

Best Experiment Yet! Sorry for the obnoxious loudness of my voice, it comes in handy in the classroom but it is so loud in videos hahaha All it took was skittles and hot water to make all the beautiful colors to melt off the skittles, they got so excited!!!

Great New Books

Today we read a book called Mix it Up by Henre Tullet, it was amazing. It gives you all of these directions on what to do with the colors in the book and then when you turn the page it shows what happens when you mixed those colors. The kiddos had a good time helping me mix up the book. This afternoon we are going to make a melting rainbow using skittles (and maybe eat some skittles too...) it should be pretty awesome so I will try to post some pictures or the video after school. Already almost Wednesday?!

Good Afternoon Families! I hope you are well rested after the long weekend! It was very nice to have an extra sleep in day. We are working on colors this week but we are also working on  being more independent. In anticipation of jacket season, I have started talking with the kiddos about how there is only 1 Miss Brittney, and Miss Brittney only has 2 hands, not 10, so sometimes they will have to start trying something by themselves until I can come and help them. With a little patience at snack time today, every child was able to get their granola bar wrapper open a little bit. They have started working on  getting their shoes on without my help (you may have noticed a few on the wrong feet, I try to catch them all but sometimes it just doesn't happen, sorry:) I think by this fall, we will be able to learn how to put on jackets and zip zippers very quickly.
