Patriot Day

 

That's what we focused on as we talked about Patriot Day today in class. I didn't want to freak them out so I told them that when Ms. Brittney was little, there was a big emergency kind of far away from here. And it was a little scary because a lot of people got hurt but there were so many people that came to help-firefighters, police officers, ambulance drivers, and all kinds of regular people. So today we remember all of the helpers. We visited the 9/11 Memorial Display at the Capitol and said a prayer for all of the helpers from that day. When we finished the prayer, one kiddo asked if we could say an extra special prayer for anyone that died- OF COURSE!! I almost cried, they were so sweet💓
