Nature Hunters

After hearing about the weather for today (compared to what the next couple of days will be), I decided today would be a great day for a Nature Walk, then as the kids came in this morning they were all talking about this massive toad-I figured it was a sign we needed to be outside. With the help of some older boys, I caught the toad and we set him free in the bushes, far away from all the cars dropping off kiddos:)

Bye, bye Mr. Toad!

They built a really tall Magnatile tower this morning!!!!

Then after our crazy song, we did our calm down yoga....

We ran into Father on our way to the nature area, and then we went crazy finding all the cool and beautiful things that God put in nature-leaves, sticks, rocks, grass, weird-stinky little berry seeds, and spooky cotton balls (that's what my nephew called Sweet Gum Tree seeds when he was little and I literally can't call them anything else for as long as I live:)

They were very excited about all their finds:)

Our little cicada friend!

Most of them were listening very well, so we decided to press our luck and take a walk to the capitol, sorry for the picture overload, but when you see a great place for a photo op, you gotta take it!

We were only a ~little~ excited to go outside extra long today:)
