Today we talked about how Jesus loved us SO MUCH that He died for us so that someday we can go to Heaven. After watching a video about it, we did a little baking project to help us be a part of the story. We took a Jesus (a Marshmallow) and we put Him in the tomb (a crescent roll) and then we covered him with perfumes and spices (melted butter and cinnamon sugar) like the wormen of the bible we closed the tomb for 3 days (the oven at 375 degress for 11 minutes) and when we opened the tomb (ate it :) JESUS WAS GONE! HE HAD RISEN!!! The kiddos had fun going around to other teachers and explaining what had happened in the resurrection-that Jesus came back alive to live in our hearts all days:) It was a pretty sweet day-we got a few "best day ever"s and they gave the rolls "a zillion thumbs up"s :) Happy Easter everyone!
