We have very much enjoyed getting to be Rockstars today! We have had dance parties, adapted our morning songs into rock songs, and did a rendition of "We Will Rock You" with the whole cafeteria (Pre-K-2nd Grade:) Rock Your School is something I learned about at the conference I just went to, the technical day is Friday but we decided to do a little something all week. It is a day to encourage teachers to make out of the box, fun, and engaging lessons for their students...to do those little fun things that you can't maintain everyday...I think we are off to a great start!
As you can tell from the blurriness, we had some very intense dance moves happening this morning:)
ROCKSTARS!
And then we passed out from all of the over exertion;)
We made some special cards for students in Florida whose school was messed up during the Hurricane, we thought about how sad we would be if our school was destroyed and we had to stay away from our friends and our teachers...we didn't want our Florida Friends to be sad so we colored them some beautiful pictures to help put a smile on their faces. We felt really good while we were working on these and the kiddos kept talking about how happy they thought it would make the other kids...We decided we must be making Jesus smile so much with how happy our hearts felt.
Trying out the new Dramatic Play costumes!
Some Highlights from our morning! To make sense, start at the bottom and work your way up. The first video is how we were greeted coming in this morning (don't you wish you could start your job off with this much excitement?!) Then is our cafeteria rock show, next comes our classroom dance party this morning (sorry for my singing in the background but I have to sing along if Hannah Montana is on:), and finally our favorite song to Rock Out to "God's Not Dead!"
