So video overload today...but when you figure out that your teddy bears have gone missing and you have to go on a hunt to find them...well everyone needs to see that excitement:) Here is a progression of our adventure from start to finish-I hope you enjoy it as much as me and the kids did:)
After finding the bears and our projects that they had hidden, we did our project of blow painting with blue paint:)
Along the way of our bear hunt, we met up with Father Seacrist who came up with a lot of B words...so he took us to go see Father Brad Berhorst, Beverly the Book Keeper, and Michelle the Business Manager and he let the kids walk through the Basement of the Rectory. They were pretty intrigued by all of the places and people we got to see. We also got to see the 100 year old statue of Jesus. They were a little sad to see how hurt Jesus looked, so we took a minute to talk about how that was so sad and how special we should feel that Jesus was willing to love us that much!
We found a Beaver in Father's office...
and came across a very special Mimi while on our adventure!
The bears took a Break to Bounce on some Bricks that Mr. Jacob was digging up...
And we found a Bear eating a Breakfast of Bush's Best Baked Beans, Green Beans, Buns sitting on top of trash Bags (the cooks and Father REALLY enjoyed helping set that one up:)
Sadly there were no Bears Behind the Bookshelf in the Bathroom (if we ever find enough words with another letter to top the record of B words we have come up with, I will be impressed!)
We had found a pattern with our bears, they were hiding on a Bench, on a Butterfly, in a Bush...so we thought our Bears would only hide where there was a letter B....which led us to the library full of BOOKS! We found a lot of cool things but no bears....
Shoutout to all the special staff and teachers we met along the way who helped us strategize and supported us along our adventure:)
B words just kept popping up at us today, we had a BUG leap onto a few friends. They asked the Bug if he had seen any Bears but he had not.
They thought the pile of rocks by our grassy area looked a little like a cave but apparently it wasn't a cave our bears wanted to be in....
All of the Bears calming waiting for the kiddos to find them...because the bears had a special surprise! Hidden with the final bear was an invitation to a BEAR PICNIC! It told the kids that they are invited to bring a teddy bear or special stuffed animal to school tomorrow and we will take them on a Picnic! There will be bouncing balls, balloons, bubbles, bear snacks, and blue juice for them to enjoy! Please check their folders for their invitation, and if you want to practice with your child, you can see if they can find and circle all of the letter B's in the invitation:) As one of the kiddos yelled as we were running on our search for the missing bears, THIS WAS THE BEST DAY EVVVEEEERRRR!
