Today we decided to hop ahead to 3rd Grade and we worked on Fractions and Bar Graphs:) All in the name of tasting some delicious apples! Tonight, see if they can tell you about Whole, Half, Fourths, and Eights. We cut an apple (Ms. Brittney cut) into these sizes, then we tasted a red apple, a green apple, and a yellow apple. Red was a medium for most of them, Green was very well liked, and a lot of them loved yellow (they said it tasted like soda....) Then we voted on our favorite flavor, counted the votes and realized it was a tie-7 people like green the best, and 7 people like yellow the best. We took all the information and made a bar graph the kiddos helped color in:)
