Jack-o'-lantern πŸŽƒ Carving

After a very long talk about not moving from our far away from Ms. Brittney spots while she is using a very large knife to cut open the pumpkin, the kiddos got to do some hands on science exploring...they touched the pumpkin guts, observed the strands, pulp, and seeds we talked about last week, and then they pulled out the insides, and helped poke out the face pieces after Ms. Brittney cut them out. There was a lot of laughter, eewwwiing, and general craziness so all in all-it was a pretty fun day!

Pulling out the pumpkin guts on the large pumpkin named....James, the Giant Jack-o-lantern!

And this littler guy got named.....Carver :) We thought it was a perfect name since we "carved" him!

Their "brave" faces were the best:) LOL

Two friends had the letter J on their shirts today! So of course, they had to come up and be the teacher for a little bit:)

The big reveal, they cleaned the guts, picked the face shapes, poked out the faces, and then got a big surprise when I lit up their pumpkins:)
