Well it's Wednesday

Hello again, friends! We got to work with stickers today, which was entertaining... I mentioned yesterday about up coming events, there is a Parent Lunch day coming up for families with the last name starting with A-E. It is next week August 28th, if you would like to attend please call the office and let them know you will be coming, and on Tuesday, come to the office at 10:50 and they will give you a pass and direct you to the cafeteria to have lunch with your little one. New Phone Issues

Sorry to have already let you down and not posted yesterday, I got a new phone over the weekend but forgot the cord so I couldn't post any pictures. I got the ones from yesterday and the ones from today posted now so enjoy! We have been having so much fun and now that we are getting into a routine, things are going so much smoother! There is a lot more fun to come and I will fill you in as things come up, you can always check the blog for info, I also try to email when specific activities are coming up but I am sure your child will let you hear about it if I ever forget:) Have a great Tuesday, and we will see you after school!

Fri-yay!

Congrats, we made it through week one! Now to tackle a 5 day week of school, but now that we are getting settled into a routine, the mornings seem to be going pretty smooth so hopefully that won't make it too rough. We went on a walking adventure to visit the big school today, we saw the office and met Mrs. Trachsel, Ms. Kelley, and Ms. Mary, and we saw the library, and the cafeteria. I think they really liked seeing where their big siblings go to school (we even ran into a couple of them). We will begin working on themes next week and start curriculum work by doing Chica Chica Boom Boom and focusing on the alphabet. There will be a lot of fun activities to come. We have also set a tentative date for our first Family Fun Night for Friday, September 7th. Family Fun Nights are Preschool sponsored events, that we Preschool teachers put together to gather our kiddos and their families together so that we can all spend some time together, have fun, and get to know one another as a school community. I will have a time and more details as the event approaches, put wanted to give you a preliminary heads up! Have a great weekend, and I will see you on Monday!

Getting better everyday

Today was fire drill day and it went...GREAT! No tears, nobody covering their ears from the noise, and no tripping! I think some of them were a little disappointed that real firetrucks didn't show up but they got over that pretty quickly. Because of the fire drill we didn't get around to an activity today but we did work on calendar and jobs so that next week we can work that into our routine every morning. This afternoon we are going to be using shaving cream to help us draw some shapes and letters! We will see you after school today!

Day Two-Woo-Hoo!

Hello, Hello everyone! We are having a fantastic day in Preschool! Today we heard the sound the fire alarms make and had a fire drill! They did awesome, I know sometimes it is scary to talk about fires so we make sure we talk about how it is just practice and there is no real fire. They all seemed totally ok with it. Tomorrow we will do one with the whole school and will hear the school alarms go off, so it might be a bit more overwhelming but we will handle that as it comes. I think they had fun making pudding this morning and they were super about taking turns stirring and helping count while it was the other person's turn. We are still working on procedures in class but it is so cool to see them already starting to settle into a routine! Our year is off to a great start, I hope you would agree. Day One-Done, almost

Hello families, so far so good!!! We have had a fun morning getting to know each other and the toys in our classroom. To see pictures, please go to the Preschool Happenings Tab on the right hand side of the page and click on today's date. I will post pictures under there each day (hopefully, if time allows LOL:)They have done fantastic practicing to line up, get our lunch trays, and pick up our toys. We also celebrated our first snack together with some chocolate covered granola bars!! And since they are such fast learners, we had a little bit of extra recess time (we got sprinkled on a little, but they did not seem to mind:) We are resting now so we can have a fun afternoon! Hello, Hello!! Welcome to my class, I am so excited to have you in it! I am Miss Brittney and I cannot wait to begin helping your child learn and discover the joys of their school adventure! Everyday I will post to keep you up to date on your child's day, so you do not miss a thing.
