Terrific Tuesday!

Howdy Ho, Families! We made the cutest little name bugs today! Everyone knows the first letter of their name, which is awesome! And quite a few of them can completely spell their names or need just a tiny bit of help. We work on this every morning when we put up our frogs, so I'm glad to see it's helping!!
Since some of our friends will be leaving early, this afternoon we will be doing free play and maybe watch a PBS Kids show.
Last call!! Picture Day is tomorrow, we will do ours right away so no one has time to spill, rip, tear, or mess up their picture day look. Also, final reminder there is no After School Care tomorrow so your child will need picked up by 3:05...sorry for the inconvenience!

Monday, September 11th

Good Morning ( for the next 3 minutes...). Today since it's September 11th I wanted to share some of the importance of this date with the kiddos but I didn't want to freak them out, so at prayer time today I just told them that a long time ago, before they were born that something very sad happened that hurt a lot of people, si we were going to say a little prayer. We prayed to God to please keep everyone safe and help all of those people who got hurt on September 11th.
We started learning about letter N for names this week, so on Friday look in your child's cubby for all kinds of name crafts. In religion we are going to move on to the next story in the Bible, The Garden of Eden.
Calendar note: Every Second Tuesday of the month we have teacher meetings so the big school lets out at 1:30, that Does Not apply to Preschool. If you are picking up from the big school feel free to come and get your preschooler at the same time, but you do not have to. We have subs that come in and cover the Preschool classes at that time.

Friday the 8th

Hello Preschool Families, to any football fans out there- Happy Chiefs Beat The Patriots Last Night Day!!! Tonight is our first Family Fun Night! I think the kiddos are excited about it and I can't wait to see everyone! If you can't make it tonight, no worries there are more to come:)
We wrapped up letter C with Channing bringing back the letter bag and showing us all of the cool things he and his mom found. Next week we will be doing N is for Name and a new lucky kiddo will get the letter bag! Next week is also picture day on Wednesday, if you want to order pictures please have your forms in by that day. There is also no After School Care that day, sorry for the inconvenience!

Almost there...

Happy Thursday Families! We are almost to the weekend and with this gorgeous weather, I am so excited for it! We took advantage of the nice weather today by going out for recess a little bit early and tomorrow we are going to take a color walk in the morning and see what colors we can find around school! Tomorrow is also our first family fun night!!! It is going to be so great to see all the preschool families and get a little play time in for the evening. If you signed up to bring treats for tomorrow, thank you so much for doing that! Feel free to drop your treats off when you drop your kiddo off tomorrow morning if you don't want to have to worry about it tomorrow night.
I am going to get our creation color wheels ready, they will bring them home tonight so you will see them soon. Have a great afternoon and we will see you after school!

Wednesday all ready?

Good Afternoon Families! Can you believe we are already halfway through the week? This morning we sang a song about letter C and tried to find the letter C on our SMARTboard. Then at lunch they took it upon themselves to find C in the cafeteria and pointed it out to me every time I walked by. In our study of the colors, we named as many places as we could where we might see a certain color. We made red and yellow hand prints, then we rubbed our hands together to find out that yellow and red make orange. Some kiddos really enjoyed squishing the paint and some where really glad when they got to wash their hands. We will be painting a little bit more this afternoon to make our "God made the day and God made the night" pages for religion.
Some reminders, if you want your child to receive the flu shot at school, then please return that form by Friday. Friday is also our family fun night, so I hope I will get to see and talk to many of you then! A week from today, Wednesday, September 13th is picture day, if you would like to order pictures, please fill out that form and turn it in by that day. There is also no after school care on September 13th, sorry for the inconvenience!

Hello Families! So great to see everyone back after the long weekend! Sounds like everyone had a great one and now we have said good-bye to our last four day weekend for awhile.

We started talking about the letter "C" and how C is for colors we found different colors in our fruit loop snack and then we made a C out of colorful cereal for an after school snack.

I got a few picture order forms turned in today, thanks for those. Just a reminder that picture day is September 13th so if you are wanting to order pictures you have until then to turn the order forms back in.

This afternoon we are going to read the creation story and since Avery brought us some of her Grandma's gourds, we are going to talk about how God made the plants and do a little project with them! Thanks so much for bringing those in for our class!

In cubbies tonight...

Tonight their folders will be sent home,inside are all of their projects and some important school papers. There will be picture order forms because our school picture day is September 13th and there are fundraiser packets. I don't have much information on when either of these regarding when they need turned in, I will send out an email as soon as I find out.
Our bear picnic was very fun and we got to enjoy all the fun B words. Next week is C is for colors and one lucky student will get to start us off on using the letter bag! Have a fun and safe labor day weekend!
